• What kind of equipment will be in the exercise area?
  
  The equipment is Life Fitness - the foremost supplier of equipment in the world and includes:

  • 5 Treadmills
  • 5 cross trainers
  • 4 cycles
  • 1 recumbent cycle
  • 2 steppers
  • 4 concept rowers
  • 10 resistance stations including the new adjustable pulley unit for functional training
  • 2 x benches with dumbbell rack

• What classes will run in the activity studio?

• How big is the pool?
  
  Designed for exercise swimming the 13m x 11m pool is bigger than most hotel pools, and at a constant depth of 1.2 m you are always in your depth.
• Can children use the facilities?
  
  Children can use the pool on Saturday and Sundays as well as between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm on school holiday afternoons.
  
  This leaves the pool free for adult exercise swimming the majority of the time.
• What facilities are in the changing areas?

  
  The luxury changing areas feature:
  

  • Large individual marble showers with complimentary toiletries
  • Costume dryers
  • Large wooden lockers with hanger and shoe space, operated via your membership card - no need for money
  • Private change areas in the ladies
  • Powerful hairdryers
• What relaxation areas are there?
  Monsoon shower - try it if you dare!
  Situated beside the sauna and steam room the monsoon shower will douse you with 52 litres of cold water per minute at the touch of a button. The lighting turns blue as you do! If you prefer there is a warmer option with red lighting.

  
  Sauna
  With colour therapy lighting - the colour will be selected depending on the time of day, red invigorating colour for the morning with more relaxing blues for the evening.
  
  

  Steam Room
  The granite tiled steam room also features mood colours from fibre optic lighting to complement the relaxing cleansing effects of the steam.
  
  

  Whirlpool
  After a good workout treat yourself - powerful jets of 100 f water massaging those toned muscles.

  Time on Your Hands!
  
  Use the luxury wooden loungers on the spacious poolside, if the Yorkshire weather is suitable you can even move outside!
  
  
• What happens when I book a spa treatment?
  
  Plan to arrive early, the staff will show you to the changing area. Your therapist will collect you and, if this is your first visit you will need to complete a consultation form. The atmosphere in the treatment room will be adjusted to suit you and the type of treatment you are having.
  
  After your de stressing treatment float back to the lounge area, where you can enjoy a hot or cold drink, sit back and put your feet up - stay as long as you want to ensure the maximum benefit from your treatment.

• Can I buy spa treatment gift vouchers?
  
  Gift vouchers are the perfect gift whatever the occasion, available in £20 vouchers or for treatments and half-day programmes.
• Do I need to change in my room?
  It's your call. The Spa has plenty of lockers for you to use, or you can change in your room and wander down in the bathrobe you'll find in your guest room. But please do wear appropriate footwear for your visit.
• Do I need to take my towel?
  No, the Spa has complimentary towels for you to use during your visit.
